Weekly How-To: Mint an NFT

Quick reminder, minting an NFT refers to the process of turning a digital file (.jpg, .mp4 etc) into a digital asset on the Ethereum blockchain.

In order to mint you need:

  • Digital wallet (like MetaMask) with the web browser extension installed (usually through a Chrome browser)

  • ETH or other crypto currency (enough to cover the minting price of the NFT + gas fee) in your digital wallet

  • A desktop computer is the most reliable (and in many cases, only) way to mint an NFT. Not through your phone or a tablet.

Hot Tip: always double check links/ link spelling to make sure they are the official one. Refer back to a project’s official Twitter, Instagram or website from a verified source (like the accounts we suggest you follow)
