• Altcoin- Refers to any coin that’s not Bitcoin. Altcoins are anything from Ethereum to coins with minimal market value. Some larger altcoins include Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Uniswap (UNI), and Decentraland (MANA).

• Stablecoin- A type of cryptocurrency designed to maintain a fixed value, typically set a $1 per token. A token is a unity value, like a coin. Stablecoins are more useful than more-volatile cryptocurrencies as a medium of exchange. Stablecoins may be pegged to a currency like the US dollar or the price of a commodity such as gold.
